I need to make a shift…. one that perhaps is not too monumentally different from how I’ve been approaching things so far, but one that is important. This change is to always focus on the most scalable thing in my business. Meaning, for example, a piece of content that can reach and impact the minds and actions of hundreds, or thousands. That should be a priority and something that I should effectively use to drive additional revenue. It is more than content though. Here’s a list of high leverage things for me to focus on today, and going forward: 

  1. Sales. Reach out simply to setup meetups. This is the top of the funnel for potential clients. No risk, no long commitment just a simple agreement to host us, give a sweetener for attendees (deal, or offer), and a percentage of revenue that we generate + a free meal. From there they can be introduced to other offerings: influencer marketing, more meetups, and the complete marketing bundle. The aspects of the business necessitating sales are: the meetups, and the marketing bundles which will be handled by Tezzy.
  2. Content creation. Find engaging topics, engaging post formats, and create extend versions of them as article that are condensed down into video posts for Instagram, and TikTok. Perform the process until it is sufficiently good, record a thorough video explaining the process and teach it to someone who can step in and beginning taking over that task. Then thoroughly look over there performance on the task and give feedback when necessary. This will be handled by Tezzy, Influencers, Editors, and photographers/videographers
  3. Platform development. Implement simple and impactful features and improvements such that a noticeable and measurable improvement in user retention, and grow is achieved. Things like user location for LLM responses, real-time info through the Perplexity API, adding the Google Maps API so people can view a map, the AWS Personalize API for the activity feed. This is more technical so instead of doing this I will simply lay out the path for the engineers so that it is clear and attackable for them then I must focus on documenting the process of clarifying WHAT should be built, or improved next based on a simple mental framework: what features, tasks, and improvements will have the highest return on effort in terms of user retention/growth. After that is complete I must lay out the tools (Cursor), methodologies, and systems (utilizing assistance from over seas developers) that will help them become highly leveraged developers capable of doing huge things quickly, with high quality, and limited errors. 

Today I worked, met with other members of the 5th Layer and worked on the page for the 5th layer. Here are some other things that I have accomplished this week and challenges that I’m facing. 

  1. Worked 40 hours and trained to begin serving (and increase my earnings per hour) 
  2. Began the setup of the event calendar for the website 
  3. Closed a loan to make investments into getting a new car, paying for this event calendar, resuming other debt payments, and increasing the content/site design/functionality/performance of the site to improve user retention and close more clients to increase revenue. 
  4. Tweeted, made additional connections and set up a time for a new speaker of the 5th Layer
  5. Set up a new meetup 
  6. Went out with co-workers and met some new people
  7. Downloaded Cursor and started using it for development
Some challenges that I faced over the past week were:
1. Not getting the full amount of the loan that I was looking for and had use for.
2. Staying focused in my free time
3. Not getting a time to meet with the engineers and having trouble getting Dave to be responsive (I may need to simply find someone else who’s a better fit) 
4. Not getting some of the technical features worked on (except for the events plugin)
 
This coming week getting I need to 
1. start resuming getting new potential client meeting set up
2. I need to prep and have the marketing meeting for Twisted Tides
3. I need to get the whole content system and SEO content organized and set in motion
4. I need to get meetups posted to the sites and the platforms
5. I need more content from Lenny posted to the site
6. I need to get the remaining about of funding raised 
7. I need to organize my budget, finances, get a plane ticket back to Minneapolis for uncle’s wedding, I need to finish collecting documents for filing taxes for the past 3 years
8. I need to finish my pitch deck for the company, start reaching out to investors about speaking in the 5th Layer and about meeting and hearing about Quest and our plans. Find a strong prospect for the $3,000 equity raise and the $16,000 raise
9. Get Nathan and Dave working on implementing improvements: building a places database, implementing user location, and implement the Google Maps API integrated into the website, extend user activity data to collect all the necessary data for the recommendation system

What are the top priorities for the day?

  1. Prepare for the engineering meeting (pull code changes), layout the steps for the content collection/indexing system
  2. Layout the learning systems (tools, methods, and potentially a proprietary platform), and operational AI systems for the company (partners and employees)
  3. Finish pitch deck and start reaching out to investors 
  4. Prepare for outreach to new potential clients Mon-Wed

Today I worked on my streaming setup. I prepared for meetings with two potential founding engineers: Nathan, and Dave. I feel excited about the future and the prospects, but now it is important to stay focused and build momentum now that others are joining the fold. Optics and confidence matter when assembling a team or else things will quickly fall apart and out of focus. Here are a couple things that should be sorted be the next meeting on Wednesday: 

  1. What we are focused on for the next month and what we want to accomplish: Mainly collecting and integrating content on the Quest platform
  2. The steps and division of responsibilities should be clear so that we can know who is responsible for what and when we can expect to have the first feature built, tested, and launched 
  3. Basic info about the code architecture of WordPress, Peepso post format, and how to set up the test environment for code and features
  4. Go over AI tools, and methods to help us achieve max productivity as a team and optimize our sprint time

I wonder if it is better to have us each focus on a system or if it is better to divide the work into collection, cleaning, loading, and retrieving. The first objective is to get content from Lenny’s account on instagram and have it posted on the site. I should also work tomorrow night…. perhaps in the afternoon as well if I’m able to have a productive morning. 

Additionally, I should also do 1-3 hours of sales calls, make a SOP (standard operating procedure) video of me making a video for social media (the top 5 series concept) and publish it to begin working on continuing the growth of the social media channels.

Today I sent my title in to get the new one issued

I applied to new jobs 

I looked for a couple potential people to loan me money w/ my Classic car as collateral (check the Financial offerings for more details) 

Got lunch at Jason’s Deli, Worked on my sites design a bit, went on X too much. Some random kid on the platform called me a “Nigger” lol these mfer rlly out here on some bullshit, but after feeling upset I began to feel glad. Words have less of a real impact than I always worried they would. Words mean less, and actions mean more.

Here’s a bit of reflection about what I need to do in the upcoming days: 

1. Taxes 

2. I need shorter term cash influx. Check in with Abe about what he needs done and what he can pay 

3. I need to do more sales. I’ve avoided it because I hate it. 

4. I need to send in my title and receipt for the car I inherited to have the new title issued and the registration complete

5. I need to call in on Monday to the state of Wisconsin and see about updating some of the info on the registration 

6. Once I have the money I suppose I should get a plane ticket back home. Perhaps I don’t actually need to go home. Idk, it would save me money to not fly back and just have someone mail me my clothes etc

7. Post my room on FB Marketplace and find a sublease. Also check back in with Aaron about if he wants the room

Besides all that mess of the day to day here are some things that should change going forward. 

1. Learn and utilize AI agents to increase productivity 

2. Utilize my existing subscription to OpenAI more and increase my productivity

3. Drive revenue with the memberships and see how I can get more customers and clients 

We’re living in a new age. One that is hard for people to comprehend despite us all being aware of the incredible technologies around us. We haven’t adapted our minds. Our rhythm, our pace, our frame of mind is all oriented around the world of pre-LLMs, pre-mass communication, pre-realtime mass communication (streaming), pre-large scale data availability, pre-LinkedIn, pre-crowd fund capital markets…… all these new technologies are flying at people faster than they can process, but the processing is always happening slowly and consistently adoption increases as the new tech. 

Here are some of the things that HAVE to change. 

  1. I need my ideas to be clearly planned, clearly articulated, and thoroughly funded from Crowdfunds
  2. I need to recruit top people effectively with clear terms, clear guidance, clear value, and strong leadership
  3. I need to be relentless about sales and generating new revenue. The childish fear of rejection needs to be left completely in the past
  4. I need to continue not drinking, smoking, and stop getting distracted by short term pleasures and comforts
  5. I need to be a diligent manager of my team and my assets

My energy levels are good and improving. My focus and memory is improving. The modern environment of weed, alcohol, gambling, porn, social media, and high touch technologies has decimated the average person’s ability to stay on a single task for an extended period of time. I was and, in many ways, continue to be right along side the average person, but my control over myself and the world around me is quickly increasing. And this time I will not let it go. I am growing a primal energy, the energy of a conquer that I will not release. It is time that I become the force that acts upon the world, not the entity that is acted upon. This world will feel my power whether it perceives it consciously or not. It not my goal to be see (or to be hidden), only that my presence makes the difference that I intend. Do I believe in God and his will? Well yes, I do, but it is not what drives me. What drives me is desire, what drives me is fear, what drives me is dissatisfaction and frustration with the limits of my ability. There are no limits except the limits I impose on myself and the un-perceivable bounds that God has set on this game.

Today I had a client meeting that didn’t go completely as I hoped, but things are still looking bright for Quest and our future. 

1/25/2025

Currently monitoring $Trump coin. I’ve been averaging in over the last few days and have built up a sizable position (about 73% of my entire portfolio). This is pretty risky, but the volatility and potential upside is also looking pretty good. I’m going to see where it goes over the weekend then sell off a lot of my stake to build up my Chegg position. Currently my $Trump coin position is down about 8% overall. I’m still quite bullish. 

Some other things I’m focusing on and need to take care of over the next few days are:

  1. looking for a new car (haven’t had one since August 
  2. Selling a classic car that was left to me (or at least getting more offers)
  3. Improving my cash holdings (may need to get some short term debt or expedite the car sale) 
  4. Finish planning of new features that will be launched on my site
  5. Prepare for a client meeting next week
  6. Land more business marketing clients

Currently here are a couple of things I’m excited about. 

  1. Making more casual low production content that is focused around my thoughts, perspective, and work that I’ll be discussing and posting for YouTube 
  2. Building up my portfolio again. I’ll begin dedicating some time in my day to monitoring the markets, conducting and publishing market research, as well as placing trades when good opportunities arise

Currently some news I’m following is the actions coming out of the White House and areas they are taking important actions in like AI, Crypto, and Domestic Manufacturing. Here are some assets and opportunities I’m currently bullish on and have in my portfolio:

  1. Chegg (Low Medium Risk & Very High Reward)
  2. $Tump coin (Medium risk & Medium High Reward)
  3. Bictoin (low risk & medium to high reward)
  4. McD (low risk & low medium reward)

This is also how I’d rank my current portfolio in terms of highest reward/risk.
